The HUG network this evening effected a remarkable retrieval of solar panels that had been stolen from the Kew Football Club roof. An eagle-eyed HUGger spotted the stolen goods at the notorious, shady dumping ground in the woods on Ham Lands, alerted the HUG network and a small but determined team retrieved the panels and carried them back to their rightful place in the sun.

Around 100 people turned out on a windy November evening to celebrate their contribution to the success of the Low Carbon Zone and the Street Champions project. Alexis Hatto made a great video about the Zone (to be uploaded soon) and Catherine & Chris Lyons also had a stand showing how they retrofitted their Victorian cottage. Energy-saving trick or treating
Street Champions from the Low Carbon Zone which covers Ham and Petersham have come up with a unique way to help their neighbours and friends to save money, using thermal imaging cameras.
On Monday night a newly trained team of Street Champion volunteers donned Halloween outfits and took to the streets armed with the high-tech cameras to help people see if their home was an ‘energy trick’ or an ‘energy treat.’
