I started right to buisness and got into Installing a libre operating system on the spare computer: an acer aspire make. The installation seemed to go fine except that once the X loaded a funny looking screen came up. This probably has to do with the fact that the screen is of a wierd make.
I decided this would be a perfect excuse to try an ARCH distro. There seems to be a good libre one called Parabola. I have gotten as far as following the begginers install proces.
The proces is quite long but it is very interesting because you get to see and add and remove the stuff that you need. And you can have bleeding edge software.
