The annual Hydropower Seminar at Henley upon Thmaes was yesterday and Chas Warlow and I attended.  It was at this seminar last year that the Expression of Interest was announced for Teddington Weir and it was interesting to reflect on how far we have come since then.  This years seminar consisted of interesting talks from a range of experts as well as an update from the Environment Agency.  I took the opportunity to remind people of the difficult to quantify but extremely valuable impact projects like ours can have on social attitudes to climate change and sustainability.  Dr. Barbara Hammond provided an inspiring account of Low Carbon Oxfords wide range of activites demonstrating how perserverence can really pay off.
